Impressive, ornately hand carved wooden frame with motif of American eagle, anchor, life preserver ring, leaves, hand painted American and Chinese flags, with opening in center for a 3x5" photo. Likely sold during America's "Sand Pebbles" era of naval gunboat diplomacy and occupation. Exceptionally done. |
